Terms of service
"us" "we" is a representation of Fresh Scent Cleaning.
"You" represents a paying client
Our Terms of services are here to explain in detail the agreement between you (the client) and Fresh Scent Cleaning when accepting a service.
By agreeing for us to carry out any service for you, you hereby accept and must adhere to these terms and conditions throughout the duration of the contract.
No order submitted by you shall be deemed accepted until you have received confirmation via email by Fresh Scent Cleaning and full payment has been received and cleared.

Your Home
You are responsible for ensuring that the property is accessible and poses no health and safely issues on the date of the booking. This includes any building work, excessive hording, and close proximity parking. If your area requires parking permits, please be sure to notify us at the time of booking. Failure to do so may lead to your appointment being cancelled without refund.
We offer a safe and secured key holding service. When not in use, your keys will be kept in a locked cabinet away from any identifying documents. Keys will be colour coded for identifications. Fresh Scent Cleaning will not give your keys to any other person, unless in writing from yourself and identification is given.
We reserve the right to amend the initial quotation, should your original requirements change.
Any estimates of how long it will take us to complete the job are provided as estimates only, based on the average time it takes to clean a home or an office of similar size to yours, it is difficult to calculate precisely how long such tasks may take and that a degree of flexibility may be required.
Please note that one off and deeper cleans may take longer to complete due to longer intervals between cleaning sessions, number and type of cleaning tasks required, when compared to the regular maintenance cleaning of the same property. You should understand that the price that has been quoted may vary according to condition of property and room sizes etc.
Post Construction Cleaning or badly neglected homes may take up to three times longer than a well maintained home requiring general cleaning. Therefore we advise that you ask for our specialist cleaning service: our spring clean/one off clean before commencing with regular cleaning.
We do not offer a clothes washing service. Therefore any soiled clothing will be placed in a bag for you.
All fragile and highly breakable items must be secured or removed.

Payments
All bookings require a £20 deposit and must be received at least 7 days prior to the agreed booking via bank transfer.
You are required to give a minimum of 5 days cancellation notice before the start of a booking to receive a full refund of your deposit, unless under extreme circumstances such as death, severe injury etc... This is under the discretion of the management at Fresh Scent Cleaning.
At the time of your booking you will receive an estimation of the cost to you for our cleaning service. This may vary, and is given as an estimation only. Photos may be provided to us, to be able to give a more accurate estimation to you.
At the end of the cleaning, we will leave you a list of what has been cleaned, the duration and your invoice.
The duration of time spent cleaning to work our your invoice will be rounded to the nearest hour quarter.
All invoices must be paid by the due date stated. Failure to do so will end in a late payment charge of £5 per week. Non-payment will result in an application to small claims court, where you will endure further costs to you and may result in a county court judgment against you (CCJ).

Illnesses
If you, or any member of your household has had any contagious illness (not including Covid-19) within 48 hours of an agreed booking, Fresh Scent Cleaning must be notified so a new appointment can be scheduled for you.

Equipment
Cleaning materials are provided by us. If you require us to use your solutions or equipment they must be safe to use/operate, in full working order and must not require any special skills to be used for the purpose of cleaning.
If you have equipment that is complicated to operate, you must provide clear and detailed instructions to the Cleaner.
If you require the Cleaner to use their own materials and equipment including vacuum cleaner Fresh Scent Cleaning cannot accept any liability should anything go wrong with either the equipment or the outcome of using it.

Damages
Fresh Scent Cleaning is covered by comprehensive public liability insurance. A copy of our certificate is available upon request. It is your responsibly to ensure your home is adequately covered with your own personal home insurance.
Any issues must be brought to our attention within 24 hours of the clean or you will forfeit your rights.
Whilst we make every effort not to break items, accidents do happen. Identical replacement is always attempted but not guaranteed. For this specific reason, we request all irreplaceable items (whether monetarily or sentimentally valuable) to be stored away and /or not cleaned by us.
In case of damage, We will repair the item at its cost. If the item cannot be repaired the we will rectify the problem by crediting the customer with the item’s present actual cash value toward a like replacement from our source upon payment of cleaning services rendered.
We shall not be responsible for damage due to faulty and/or improper installation of any item. All surfaces (i.e., marble, granite, etc.) are assumed sealed and ready to clean without causing harm.
Any attempt to commit insurance fraud or any use of false information to commit any type of fraud will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law together by us our Insurance Provider(s). Monetary compensation as well as legal fees may incur.
Key replacement/locksmith fees are paid only if keys are lost by ourselves. There is a £30 per location liability limit.

Liability
We shall not be liable under any circumstances for any loss, expense, damage, delay , costs or compensation (whether direct, indirect or consequential) which may be suffered or incurred by you arising from or in any way connected with a late arrival of us at the service address. We endeavours to be right on time on any visit but sometimes due to transport related and other problems which are beyond our control, we may arrive with a delay or the cleaning visit may be re-scheduled.
We shall not be liable under any circumstances for any loss, expense, damage, delay , costs or compensation (whether direct, indirect or consequential) which may be suffered or incurred by the Client arising from or in any way connected with – 1. A cleaning job not complete due to the lack of hot water or electricity 2. Third party entering or present at the Client’s premises during the cleaning process; 11.3. Any existing damage to Clients property in the form of old stains/burns/spillages etc. which cannot be cleaned/removed completely by the cleaning operative.
Your Data
Any personal information we hold on file is for Fresh Scent Cleaning records only. No information will be passed to any third parties of any kind. We comply to the strict laws following the new GDPR 2018. If you require more details, please contact us.

Fresh Scent Cleaning reserve the right to change or make amendments to the terms and conditions, quotes given, and prices. All existing customers will be notified of these changes, giving at least 28 days notice of the amendments.

Covid-19
Fresh Scent Cleaning adhere to the strict government guidelines regarding Covid-19.
Face masks, gloves and aprons will be used at all times whilst within your home. All PPE and cleaning clothes are changed between clients, to help prevent cross contamination.
In the event of a national/regional lockdown, all appointments will be rescheduled to a more suitable time.
If you or any member of your household have symptoms, come into contact with a Covid-19 case, awaiting results, or have tested positive with Covid-19 within 10 days of us visiting your home, you must notify us immediately.

We may at times take photos and/or videos during/before/after the clean for advertising purposes. We do not include any personal information, or any identifying material. You will be asked if you agree to this on your booking form.
